The competition is open and it is organised in two rounds:.
The goal of the Competition is to obtain the best possible sketch of the design proposal as regards urban planning and architecture.
The Subject of the Competition is a construction idea which will be based on the best functional zoning of the territory and the complex spatial vision for the “Development of the Spatial Plan for the Academic Centre of the University of Latvia” and a proposal for a new House of Sports chosen by the Jury.
The Commissioner of the Sketch Design competition is the University of Latvia
The 1st round of the Competition has to be submitted by 19 September 2022.
The total amount of remuneration for the participation in the 2nd competition round and prize money of the Competition is EUR 40 000,00
The Jury of the Competition – Commissioner’s representatives, representatives of the Riga City Development Department, Head of the Riga City Architect Service, Latvian Association of Architects and Latvian Association of Landscape Architects, Dutch urban planner and architect.
